Are you our first May Day Queen?

Ladies! We've got something special in store for you. We're looking for our first May Day Queen. Are you up for the challenge? The chosen May Day Queen will have a special role in our ritual and will also receive a free pass for our 2021 event. Participants will gather, in their May Day dresses (in a private space), to be judged by our hosts Missi and Roo. Why a private space? Because we know some of you are shy :)

There are a few rules. Please read through them and if you have any questions please email us at info@walpurgisnachtevent.com. Remember, no question is a stupid question!

Shoot us a quick email at info@walpurgisnachtevent.com to let us know you'll be participating so that we can allocate enough time for judging and photographing.

The base of your outfit must be a DRESS, and it should be mostly white. You can add on, embellish or accessorize it any way you wish, as long as your dress is clearly visible.

This can be as simple as a flower crown, or as extravagant as antlers and moss, but we ask that it represent your spiritual path in one way or another. You can be as creative as you like.

You may carry a staff, wand, or weapon. Face paint and special effect makeup are allowed. Remember to pack a mirror for this! We will have a mirror available onsite but it will help to have your own so that you don't need to wait your turn.

If you are 18 or older you must be willing to sign a model release (sample below) at the time of judging and be photographed. Your photographs may be used for our website and/or promotional posters for future Walpurgisnacht events. Rest assured, they will be used by us for our event only, and never given or sold to others! We will share digital copies with you.

Your effort will not go to waste! All May Day Queen participants, in their dresses, will be leading the procession through the woods to the ritual site.

For our 2020 May Day Queen contestants we've put together a MOOD BOARD on Pinterest to inspire, spark creativity, and provide ideas.
